A rhythmic, expressive workshop exploring instinct, creativity, movement, and embodied self-expression.
The word “wild” often brings to mind something reckless, untamed, or out of control.
That isn’t what we mean here.
In this workshop, wildness refers to the parts of ourselves that are instinctive, creative, emotionally honest, and deeply alive.
Many of us spend years adapting to expectations, responsibilities, and roles. Over time, it can become harder to hear the quieter voice underneath.
The wild heart is not something you need to become.
It is something you can return to.
No dance, yoga, or artistic experience required.
Not all wisdom arrives through analysis.
Sometimes it arrives through sensation.
A feeling.
A rhythm.
An image.
A memory.
A sudden sense of “yes, that’s it.”
Throughout this workshop, we’ll experiment with listening differently.
Less figuring it out. More noticing what emerges.
Through movement, music, creative prompts, and reflection, we’ll create space for instinct, intuition, and embodied knowing to have a seat at the table.
We’ll explore movement through rhythm, sensation, imagination, and instinct.
There is no choreography to learn. No traditional yoga poses or sequences. Move in ways that feel supportive, meaningful, and authentic for you.
Music will serve as both companion and guide. Some explorations may feel:
What You Won’t Need
Yoga experience
Dance experience
Flexibility
Knowledge of poses or techniques
A performer mindset
If traditional yoga spaces have ever felt intimidating or overly performance-focused, this workshop is intentionally designed differently.
Those expecting a conventional yoga class, formal postures, or structured dance experience may find this workshop more creative, intuitive, and exploratory than expected.
Camera shy? Feel free to turn your camera off during movement segments if it makes you feel more comfortable.
What happens when you stop asking, “Am I doing this right?”
A turn.
A reach.
A pause.
A change in direction.
Through movement, music, imagery, and reflection, we’ll experiment with following curiosity, intuition, and instinct rather than rules, expectations, or outcomes.
A drumbeat.
A pulse.
A sway.
A stomp.
A pause.
Rather than following choreography, we’ll explore movement through rhythm—allowing music, repetition, and pulse to guide the experience. Together, we’ll experiment with letting rhythm become a conversation with the body.
A bigger gesture than you expected.
A mark on the page before deciding what it means.
A movement that keeps going instead of stopping halfway.
Together, we’ll experiment with what happens when expression arrives before evaluation, making room for spontaneity, surprise, and authenticity.
There is a difference between being out of control and being fully alive.
A deeper breath.
A bigger movement.
A louder laugh.
A rhythm that asks for one more step.
Through movement, music, and creative exploration, we’ll experiment with loosening the urge to manage every response, monitor every movement, or hold every impulse in check.
Not to become reckless.
But to discover what emerges when vitality has a little more room to move.
All practices are invitational.
There are no shapes to perfect and no right way to participate.
This workshop draws inspiration from the writings of Clarissa Pinkola Estés, author of Women Who Run With the Wolves, and her exploration of the Wild Woman archetype.
The Wild Woman is often described as instinctive, intuitive, creative, vital, and deeply connected to her authentic nature.
She is not something to become.
She is something to remember.
Through movement, rhythm, imagination, and creative exploration, we’ll experiment with reconnecting to the parts of ourselves that know how to listen, feel, create, and come alive.
“What wants to move?”
“What feels true?”
“What feels alive?”
Comfortable clothing, water or tea, and a journal/sketchbook are encouraged but optional.
You do not need to be flexible, artistic, spiritual, or “good at dancing.”
Only willing to explore.
